A practical pre-order checklist
1. Identify the exact component
“Off-road fender” might mean a flare extension or a larger body conversion. Name the part, side and mounting area. Use the parts catalogue to compare categories.
2. Specify your vehicle
Provide the make, model, year and any suspension, tyre or bumper changes. Photographs of the actual vehicle are more useful than a model name alone.
3. Mould-made or custom?
An existing mould may be suitable for one request. A one-off design may require new tooling or changes to a sample. Feasibility, time and cost differ.
4. Ask about fitting and safety
Check fixing points, clearances, finishing and usage limits. A fiberglass bumper cover must not be treated as a crash structure without technical assessment. Hood latches and hinges also need care.
5. Compare quotations properly
A price depends on model, design, quantity, finishing and production requirements. Compare equivalent specifications, not two figures without context.
